Description

The Windsor is a single-arm wall light built around a gold patina-finished metal scroll frame with a central circular backplate, a single E14 candle holder on a shallow drip dish, and a cut crystal teardrop suspended below. The scrollwork arms curve outward from the backplate in a crown-like silhouette, with surface texture and tonal variation applied during the hand-finishing process to give the gold patina depth and age.

Designed for hallways, dining rooms and living rooms where wall space allows decorative fittings, the Windsor works as accent lighting rather than primary room illumination. The single E14 bulb (sold separately) provides enough light to define architectural features, highlight artwork or balance the light distribution in a room lit primarily by ceiling fittings. The 202mm projection from the wall means the fitting needs clearance — not suitable for narrow corridors or positions where it would obstruct passage.

The gold patina finish has a matte, aged appearance with darker bronze tones in the recesses of the scrollwork and lighter gold highlights on raised surfaces, presenting as oxidised brass rather than bright polished metal. The cut crystal droplet refracts light from the bulb above and adds weight to the lower arm, balancing the visual composition. The fitting is hand-assembled and finished in the UK, so minor variations in patina tone and scroll detailing occur between individual pieces.

The Windsor takes a single E14 small Edison screw candle bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most buyers pair this with a 4-6W warm-white LED candle bulb at 2700K for a soft glow that complements the gold patina finish.

The fitting projects 202mm from the wall surface once installed. This makes it unsuitable for narrow hallways or positions where the scrollwork would obstruct passage — allow at least 250mm clearance in front of the fitting.
