Description

The Triomphe is a 1048mm wall-mounted torchiere in a Firenze Gold finish, combining a tall decorative metal column with an upward-facing amber glass shade enclosed in a matching metal cage. The fitting takes a single E14 bulb up to 60W (sold separately) and mounts directly to the wall via a decorative backplate at the centre of the column.

Designed for hallways, staircases, living rooms and period interiors where vertical wall space allows the full height to be appreciated, the Triomphe provides ambient uplighting rather than directed task light. The amber glass diffuses the bulb output into a warm glow that bounces off the ceiling and washes down the surrounding wall, creating atmospheric lighting suited to evening use. The 222mm projection from the wall keeps the fitting clear of furniture placed against the same wall.

The Firenze Gold finish is a warm metallic tone with an aged patina, suited to traditional, classical and Mediterranean-inspired interiors. The decorative metalwork on the column features a repeating lattice pattern that runs the full 1048mm height, giving the piece substantial visual presence even when unlit. The metal cage around the glass shade echoes the column detailing and protects the glass from accidental contact. The fitting itself is 1048mm tall and typically mounts with its centre at approximately 1600-1800mm above floor level, giving clearance above head height in standard 2400mm ceiling rooms. Taller rooms can mount it higher to match other wall lights or architectural features.

What bulb should I use?

The fitting takes one E14 small Edison screw bulb up to 60W. Most installations use a warm-white LED candle or flame-tip bulb rated at 4-6W and 2700K to complement the amber glass and Firenze Gold finish. Bulbs are sold separately.

Is the light directed upwards or downwards?

The amber glass shade sits at the top of the column and directs light upwards towards the ceiling. This creates ambient uplighting that bounces off the ceiling and washes down the wall, rather than providing directed downlight or task lighting.

The fitting carries no IP rating and is designed for dry interior locations only. It is not suitable for bathroom zones where moisture or direct water contact may occur.
