Sparx Linear Pendant Light 30W 3000K 121cm - Black

The Sparx is a 1205mm linear LED pendant light with a matt black extruded aluminium body housing an integrated 30W LED strip at 3000K. Six conical downward-facing apertures along the length of the bar direct light downwards in a focused beam pattern, making this a task-oriented fitting rather than ambient wash lighting. The 50mm projection and 2150mm adjustable cable allow the fitting to be suspended at varying heights above worktops, desks or kitchen islands.

Designed for offices, home workspaces, commercial kitchens and retail environments where directional task lighting is needed, the Sparx delivers 30W of power across the 1.2m length without the heat output or maintenance of halogen track systems. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor environments. The matt black finish reduces glare from the aluminium body under daylight and pairs cleanly with industrial, minimalist and contemporary office interiors.

The modular design allows multiple Sparx units to be installed end-to-end or in parallel runs to create custom lighting layouts for longer counters or workbenches. Each unit is a standalone fixture with its own cable run and ceiling fixings, so layouts can be adjusted or expanded without rewiring. The extruded aluminium construction keeps the fitting lightweight at approximately 2kg while maintaining rigidity across the 1205mm span.

Is the Sparx dimmable?

No. The integrated 30W LED is non-dimmable and operates at a fixed output on standard 230V mains switching. If dimming is required, consider an external control system, though compatibility is not guaranteed.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 2150mm cable allows the fitting to be suspended between approximately 200mm and 1800mm below the ceiling fixing point. For task lighting above a desk or kitchen island, a typical installation height is 700-900mm above the work surface, requiring a ceiling height of approximately 2.4m or above.

Can multiple units be linked together?

The Sparx is modular, meaning multiple units can be installed in parallel or end-to-end to cover longer spans. Each unit requires its own ceiling fixing and mains connection, so they are not electrically linked but can be positioned to create a continuous lighting effect.

What is the beam pattern like?

The six conical apertures direct light downwards in focused beams rather than a wide wash. This makes the Sparx suitable for task lighting where directional illumination is needed, but less suited to providing general ambient light across a large room.
