Description

The Sparx is a 1805mm linear LED pendant light with an integrated 30W 3000K LED housed in an extruded aluminium body finished in white. The light emits downward in a single direction, providing focused illumination across the length of the fitting without spill to the sides or upward. The 50mm projection from the ceiling keeps the profile low while the 1805mm length covers wide worktops, long dining tables or office desks without needing multiple fittings.

Designed for kitchens, offices, retail spaces and open-plan areas, the Sparx provides functional task lighting rather than ambient wash. The 3000K colour temperature sits between warm residential lighting and cooler commercial white, making it workable in both contexts. The non-dimmable LED runs at 30W on standard mains, giving consistent output without requiring additional control gear. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor environments only.

The extruded aluminium body runs the full 1805mm length as a single continuous piece, with no visible joints or seams along the profile. The white powder-coated finish hides fingerprints and dust more effectively than gloss surfaces and pairs with white or light-coloured ceilings to reduce visual weight. The fitting can be installed as a standalone piece or linked with other Sparx units in the range to create longer runs or parallel configurations depending on the space layout.

Is the Sparx dimmable?

No. The integrated LED runs at a fixed 30W output on standard 230V mains. If dimming is required, a different model in the Ideal Lux range would be needed.

Can it be installed in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the fitting is suitable for dry indoor environments only. It cannot be installed in bathrooms, kitchens with high steam exposure, or any area where moisture is present.

What ceiling height does it suit?

The 50mm projection from the ceiling makes the Sparx suitable for standard 2.4m ceiling heights and above. The downward-focused light works best when the fitting is 700-900mm above a worktop or table surface, depending on the intensity needed.

Can multiple units be linked together?

Yes. The Sparx is modular and can be installed as a standalone fitting or combined with other units in the Ideal Lux Sparx range to create longer runs or parallel configurations. Each unit requires its own mains connection.
