Description

The Sonoma Valley is a 2 light wall light with cream alabaster glass bell shades on a bronze metal frame inspired by vineyard scrollwork. Each shade houses an E27 bulb fitting (bulbs sold separately), and the ornamental bronze backplate carries embossed vine and acanthus motifs with a two-tone patina combining darker bronze with gold highlights.

Designed for traditional and French Country interiors, the fitting suits hallways, either side of bathroom mirrors, and living rooms where warm ambient light is needed without a ceiling fitting. The 470mm width works above sideboards, console tables and in alcoves where a single pendant would be too large. The 197mm projection from the wall keeps the shades clear of picture frames and shelving.

The cream glass shades diffuse light evenly and hide the bulb filament, so the fitting works equally well with visible-filament LEDs or standard frosted LED bulbs. The bronze finish combines a darker base patina with hand-applied gold highlighting on the raised vine details, giving depth to the metalwork under both daylight and artificial light. The two-bulb configuration provides approximately twice the light output of a single-arm wall light while maintaining symmetry.

What bulbs does it take?

The fitting takes two E27 (Edison screw) bulbs up to 60W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED bulbs between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for ambient lighting in hallways and living rooms.

Can it be fitted either side of a mirror?

Yes. The 470mm width and 197mm projection suit symmetrical installation either side of bathroom or hallway mirrors. Spacing the fittings 800-1200mm apart typically provides even illumination across a mirror width of 600-900mm.

Is it dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulbs used. Dimmable LED bulbs paired with a compatible LED dimmer switch will allow dimming. Standard non-dimmable LED bulbs will not dim and may flicker if connected to a dimmer circuit.
