The Solenne is a single pendant that pairs a brushed aged brass plate with a clear blown glass shade, roughly 225mm across, for a warm and quietly contemporary look. The glass is left clear so the bulb sits on show, which makes the choice of lamp part of the design: a vintage filament E27 LED throws a soft, inviting glow and looks the part through the glass. The pendant is fully height adjustable, so you can drop it low over a kitchen island or keep it high in a hallway, and it takes a single E27 lamp, which is not included.

That adjustability makes the Solenne easy to place. It works over a dining table or a run of worktop, as a single point of interest in a hallway, or in a pair either side of a bed. The brushed aged brass has a soft, warm sheen rather than a bright polish, so it settles happily into both modern and more lived-in, characterful rooms.

The plate is finished in brushed aged brass and the glass is a single blown piece, so no two catch the light in quite the same way. To care for it, switch off at the mains, let the bulb cool, and wipe the glass and plate with a soft dry cloth, steering clear of abrasive or solvent cleaners. As a mains fitting it should be installed by a qualified electrician. It is a versatile, good-looking pendant that does a lot with a single bulb, and rewards a considered choice of lamp.

It takes a single E27 (Edison screw) lamp rated up to 10W, supplied separately so you can pick the look you want. Because the blown glass is clear and the bulb is on show, a decorative vintage filament E27 LED in warm white, around 2700K, looks especially good and becomes part of the design. A soft glow suits it better than a bright, cool lamp.

Can I change how low it hangs?

Yes. The Solenne is fully height adjustable, with a drop from 490mm up to 1585mm, so you can hang it low over a kitchen island or a dining table, or keep it higher in a hallway. The drop is set during installation by shortening the suspension. That flexibility is what lets one pendant work in very different rooms.

Is the Solenne dimmable?

The fitting uses a standard E27 socket, so dimming depends on the bulb you fit. Choose a dimmable filament or LED E27 lamp and pair it with a compatible dimmer on the circuit, or an inline dimmer, if you want to soften the light. Do check the lamp is marked dimmable, as not all are.

What does the brushed aged brass finish look like?
