Description

The Mirror is a 600mm picture light with four G9 bulb fittings housed in a tubular burnished brass frame. The light mounts on a two-arm bracket that projects 150mm from the wall, positioning the lamp directly above the top edge of a frame to cast downward wash light across the surface. An adjustable diffuser inside the tube allows the light direction to be angled slightly forward or back to match different frame depths and hanging heights.

Designed for medium to large artworks, gallery walls and formal displays, the four-bulb configuration provides enough output to evenly illuminate canvases or prints up to approximately 900-1000mm wide. The light works in living rooms over fireplaces, in dining rooms above sideboards displaying art, and in hallways or studies where framed pieces need dedicated accent lighting. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor spaces only.

The burnished brass finish shows visible brushed metal grain and a warm, slightly muted tone that sits between raw brass and polished brass. This makes it less reflective than polished finishes and better suited to traditional, transitional and warm-toned contemporary interiors. The metal frame and bracket provide structural rigidity, keeping the lamp stable when bulbs are changed. Each G9 socket accepts halogen or LED capsule bulbs up to the rated wattage (bulbs sold separately), and the fitting is dimmable when paired with compatible G9 LED bulbs and a trailing-edge dimmer.

The Mirror takes four G9 capsule bulbs, sold separately. Most users fit warm-white LED G9 bulbs rated at 2-4W each and 2700K-3000K colour temperature for artwork illumination. Check the rated maximum wattage before fitting halogen capsules.

What size artwork does it suit?

The 600mm lamp length works well with artworks approximately 700-1000mm wide. For narrower pieces a shorter version may be more proportionate; for wider gallery walls or very large canvases a longer picture light or multiple fittings may be needed.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when fitted with dimmable G9 LED bulbs and paired with a compatible trailing-edge dimmer. Halogen G9 bulbs are inherently dimmable but consume more energy and generate more heat than LEDs.

How is the diffuser adjusted?

The diffuser inside the brass tube can be angled slightly during installation to direct light forward or back. This adjustment compensates for different frame projection distances and ensures even coverage across the artwork surface without hotspots at the top edge.
