Description

The Middlefield is a 2-light wall fitting that pairs a curved iron rust metal backplate with a vertical distressed wood accent running through the centre, mounting two E14 candle-style bulb holders on curved metal arms. The iron rust finish on the metalwork gives a textured, aged appearance consistent with hand-forged ironwork, while the wood shows saw marks and weathering that expose the grain.

Designed for hallways, dining room feature walls, and bedrooms where traditional or rustic styling is wanted, the Middlefield sits 419mm tall and projects 89mm from the wall, fitting spaces where a full sconce would be too deep but a flat plate lacks presence. The two bulbs sit exposed in candle flame orientation, so decorative filament bulbs or warm-white LEDs in clear glass tend to work better here than opaque or standard Edison-shaped bulbs.

The distressed wood panel runs vertically through the metal arms and backplate, creating a contrast between the warm organic texture of the wood and the cooler industrial character of the iron rust metalwork. The 254mm width spans a typical single-gang back box width, making it a direct replacement for older wall lights without needing to re-plaster. Each bulb position takes up to 60W, giving flexibility to use traditional incandescent candles, halogen equivalents, or LED filament bulbs between 4-6W.
