Description

The Maytoni Trinity left T-connector is a three-phase track lighting junction piece that allows a perpendicular track section to branch left from a main track run. The connector fits Maytoni's Trinity surface-mounted track system and carries three live circuits plus neutral and earth through the junction, maintaining independent switching control across all three phases beyond the T-junction.

Designed for retail, gallery and commercial installations where track lighting needs to follow L-shaped or T-shaped ceiling layouts, the connector eliminates the need to run separate track sections back to individual power sources. The left-hand configuration means the perpendicular track extends to the left when viewed from the main track's power feed end. A right-hand version exists separately for mirror-image layouts.

The white plastic housing measures 166mm along the main track axis, 99mm along the perpendicular branch, and projects 32mm below the ceiling when surface-mounted. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor locations away from bathrooms and external canopies. The connector accepts 220-240V AC three-phase track sections and locks into the track via spring-loaded contact pins that grip the internal conductor rails.

Frequently Asked

What is the difference between left and right T-connectors?

The designation refers to which direction the perpendicular track extends when viewed from the power feed end of the main track. A left T-connector sends the branch track to the left; a right T-connector sends it to the right. Choose based on your ceiling layout and where the track system's power source is located.

Does this work with single-phase track systems?

No. This connector is designed specifically for three-phase track systems where three independent live circuits run through the track, allowing spotlights on the same track to be controlled by different switches. It will not fit or function correctly with single-phase track.

Can this be used in bathrooms or outdoor covered areas?

No. The IP20 rating means the connector offers no protection against moisture ingress and is suitable only for dry indoor locations. Bathrooms, kitchens near sinks, and external canopies require higher IP-rated fittings.

How is it installed onto the track?

The connector locks into the Maytoni Trinity track via spring-loaded contact pins that engage with the internal conductor rails. Installation requires the track to be de-energised, the connector aligned with the track opening, and the unit pushed up until the spring contacts click into place. Full instructions are in the product manual.
