Description

The Lystra is a 60cm horizontal LED wall light built around a powder-coated aluminium frame in matt black, housing an integrated 17W LED strip behind a frosted glass diffuser. The frosted glass scatters warm 3000K light evenly along the length of the fitting, creating soft wash light across wall surfaces rather than a focused beam.

Designed for hallways, staircases, living rooms and above bathroom mirrors where horizontal linear lighting works better than a downlight or pendant, the Lystra mounts flush to the wall with a 40mm projection. The 600mm length suits single-gang positions in corridors, either side of a doorway, or above a console table or vanity unit. The IP20 rating limits the Lystra to dry indoor zones outside splash areas in bathrooms.

The aluminium frame sits 35mm in height and the frosted glass diffuser runs the full 600mm length, giving the fitting a clean rectangular profile without visible fasteners or seams. The powder-coated black finish provides a low-sheen surface that pairs well with both industrial-style interiors and contemporary minimalist schemes. The integrated LED is non-replaceable but rated for a 30,000-hour lifespan, which translates to approximately 15 years at 5 hours daily use.

No. The integrated 17W LED is not compatible with dimmer switches and should be wired to a standard on/off circuit only.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

The IP20 rating means the Lystra is suitable only for dry indoor zones. It cannot be installed in bathroom zones 1 or 2 where water splash or steam is present, but can be used in zone 3 or outside the zoned areas in a bathroom where no direct water contact occurs.

What is the output in lumens?

Ideal Lux does not publish lumen output for the Lystra in the specification sheet. The 17W output at 3000K provides soft ambient wash light comparable to a 60-70W halogen equivalent, suited to accent and task lighting rather than primary room lighting.
