Description

The Halox is a 440mm twin-light wall fitting with a silver-finished metal body and two sandblasted Pyrex glass diffusers. Each diffuser houses one E27 bulb (sold separately) set behind a frosted glass panel that softens and disperses the light output. The metal body wraps around the diffusers in a curved profile that projects 125mm from the wall surface.

Designed for hallways, stairwells, living rooms and bedrooms where ambient and decorative wall lighting is needed without a table or floor lamp, the Halox suits rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. The 440mm width sits comfortably on walls measuring 1.5m or wider without dominating the surface. The twin-light configuration provides more output than single-bulb wall lights, making it practical for illuminating longer hallway runs or darker stairwells when installed in multiples at 2-3m intervals.

The silver finish on the metal body has a low-gloss satin appearance that reflects ambient light without creating harsh highlights, pairing with white, light grey and neutral-toned walls in both modern and traditional interiors. The sandblasted Pyrex diffusers reduce glare from the bulbs and create an even wash of light along the wall surface. The fitting is dimmable when paired with compatible E27 LED bulbs and a suitable dimmer switch, allowing output to be adjusted for different times of day.

What bulbs does the Halox take?

The fitting takes two E27 (Edison screw) bulbs, sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED bulbs between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for ambient lighting in living spaces, or 4000K daylight LEDs for hallways and stairwells where task visibility is needed.

Is it dimmable?

The fitting itself is dimmable. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific E27 LED bulbs you install and the dimmer switch model. Choose bulbs marked as dimmable and pair with a compatible LED dimmer to avoid flickering.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

The IP20 rating means the Halox is suitable only for dry indoor environments. It cannot be installed in bathroom zones where water spray or steam is present. For bathrooms, choose a wall light with IP44 or higher rating.

How is it fitted to the wall?

The fitting mounts to a standard recessed wall back box with the electrical connection made inside the box. The metal body then covers the back box and is secured with screws through the mounting plate. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician.
