Description

The Halox is a 440mm polished chrome wall light with two E27 bulb fittings housed behind sandblasted Pyrex glass diffusers. The metal body is fabricated from pressed steel sheet with a mirror-polished chrome finish, giving strong reflections under direct light. Each of the two diffusers sits within a curved chrome shell that directs light forward and to the sides while blocking upward spill.

Designed for installation above bathroom mirrors, in hallways, or as bedside wall lighting, the Halox provides soft, diffused ambient light when paired with warm-white E27 LED bulbs (sold separately). The 125mm projection from the wall places the light source far enough forward to illuminate faces for grooming while avoiding direct glare. The fixture is dimmable when paired with compatible dimmer switches and dimmable bulbs, allowing light levels to be adjusted from bright task lighting to low-level night lighting.

The polished chrome finish shows fingerprints and requires occasional cleaning with a microfibre cloth to maintain the mirror surface. The sandblasted Pyrex glass provides a frosted appearance that hides the bulb filament or LED array while transmitting most of the light output. At 440mm width, the fitting suits single sinks, narrow hallways, and bedside positions where a compact horizontal span is needed. The IP20 rating limits the Halox to dry indoor areas outside bathroom zones 1 and 2.

The IP20 rating limits the Halox to dry indoor areas. It can be installed in bathrooms outside zones 1 and 2 (typically above a mirror at least 600mm from the edge of a bath or shower), but not within splash zones.

What bulbs does it take?

The Halox takes two standard E27 (Edison screw) bulbs, sold separately. Most users pair it with 6-10W warm-white LED bulbs at 2700K-3000K for bathroom mirror or bedside lighting.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, but dimming requires both a compatible dimmer switch and dimmable bulbs. Standard LED bulbs may flicker or fail to dim smoothly if the dimmer is not rated for LED loads.

How is the chrome finish maintained?

Polished chrome shows fingerprints and water spots. Wipe with a dry microfibre cloth after handling or splashing. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth is acceptable, but avoid chemical cleaners that can strip the chrome coating.
