Description

The Evoke is a 1025mm linear pendant light built around a matt black aluminium extrusion housing an integrated LED strip that runs the full length of the fitting. The LED delivers 3000K warm white light from a recessed channel in the underside of the extrusion, creating a continuous light line without visible individual LED points. The fitting is non-dimmable and rated IP20 for indoor use only.

Designed for installation above kitchen islands, dining tables and office desks where continuous task lighting is needed across a linear surface, the Evoke suits ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher with a standard 1080mm cable length. The narrow 80mm height and 15mm projection make the fitting sit close to the ceiling plane when viewed from below, reducing visual bulk in rooms with lower ceilings. The fitting weighs approximately 1.2kg and requires support from a suitable ceiling rose or mounting plate.

The matt black aluminium finish absorbs rather than reflects light, keeping focus on the lit surface below rather than the fitting itself. This makes the Evoke pair well with minimalist interiors, industrial schemes and contemporary office fit-outs where visible lighting hardware is kept visually neutral. The aluminium construction dissipates heat from the LED efficiently, and we stock Ideal Lux's fitting with a 5-year warranty covering both the housing and the integrated LED module.

Can this be dimmed?

No. The Evoke uses an integrated non-dimmable LED module. If dimming is required, consider looking at other Ideal Lux linear pendant fittings with dimmable driver options.

What length table or island does it suit?

The 1025mm length works well over tables or islands of 1200-1600mm long. For longer surfaces, consider installing two Evoke fittings in a row or choosing a longer model from the Ideal Lux range.

Is the LED replaceable?

The LED is integrated into the aluminium extrusion and is not user-replaceable. The LED module is covered by Ideal Lux's 5-year warranty, and typical LED lifespan is 25,000-50,000 hours depending on usage patterns.

Can the cable length be shortened?

Yes. The 1080mm cable can be shortened during installation by an electrician to suit lower ceiling heights or to reduce the drop over a surface. The cable cannot be lengthened without replacing it entirely.
