Description

The Canvas is a 60cm linear wall light built around a white metal housing with an integrated 23W LED and a full-length acrylic diffuser. The LED runs at 3000K, providing warm white light distributed evenly along the 600mm length. The fitting projects 100mm from the wall and mounts on a concealed rear bracket that fixes to standard UK back boxes or surface mounting points.

Designed for hallways, above bathroom mirrors, office corridors and living room feature walls, the Canvas provides functional linear lighting where a decorative fitting would be too fussy. The 600mm length suits spaces with ceiling heights of 2.4-3m, providing enough horizontal spread to light a 1.5-2m section of wall or mirror without casting hard shadows. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor spaces only — bathrooms must have the fitting outside shower zones.

The white metal construction gives a clean finish that pairs with white walls, contemporary grey interiors and minimal Scandi-style spaces. The acrylic diffuser hides the LED strip behind it, preventing direct glare while allowing the full 23W output to pass through as soft wash light. The non-dimmable driver runs on standard UK 230V mains and the fitting carries a 5-year warranty from Ideal Lux.

No. The integrated LED driver does not support dimming. The fitting runs at full 23W output when switched on.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor areas only. In bathrooms, the Canvas must be fitted outside shower zones and away from direct water contact. For positions above sinks or within 60cm of a shower, an IP44-rated fitting is required.

How is it mounted?

The Canvas mounts on a concealed rear bracket that fixes to a standard UK back box or directly to the wall surface using wall plugs and screws. The white metal housing clips onto the bracket, hiding all fixings from view once installed.

What colour temperature is 3000K?

3000K is warm white, the same colour temperature as a traditional halogen bulb. It provides a comfortable, slightly yellow-toned light that suits living spaces, bedrooms and hospitality interiors. For clinical or office environments, 4000K (neutral white) is more common, but the Canvas is only available in 3000K.
