Vilo LED Bollard Light 30cm - Dark Grey

The Vilo is a 30cm-high LED bollard light with a circular head that houses an opal diffuser and an integrated 8.1W LED module. The dark grey powder-coated aluminium body is rated IP65, meaning it's fully weatherproof against rain, snow and dust, and suitable for year-round outdoor installation in UK gardens, driveways and commercial landscapes.

Designed for pathway lighting, driveway edging and garden border illumination, the Vilo casts 367 lumens of 3000K warm white light downwards and outwards through the opal diffuser. The 30cm height positions the light source low enough to avoid glare at eye level while still providing enough coverage to light a 1-1.5m radius around the bollard. Multiple units spaced 2-3m apart create continuous pathway lighting without dark gaps.

The circular head measures 20cm in diameter and projects 9cm from the 30cm column, giving the bollard a compact profile that sits comfortably in narrow planting beds or along the edge of paved paths without obstructing foot traffic. The dark grey finish blends into foliage and stone during daylight and recedes visually after dark, leaving the warm light as the primary feature. The 0.66kg weight keeps the bollard light enough for one-person installation while the Class 1 earthed construction provides electrical safety on standard 110-220V mains wiring.

What spacing is recommended between bollards?

For continuous pathway lighting without dark gaps, space Vilo bollards 2-3m apart. The 367lm output and downward-directed light create overlapping pools of illumination at this spacing. Wider spacing of 3-5m works for accent lighting where gaps are acceptable.

Is the LED replaceable?

The LED module is integrated into the bollard and not user-replaceable. The rated lifespan of the LED is typically 25,000-30,000 hours, which equates to approximately 8-10 years of use at 8 hours per night.

How is the bollard installed?

The Vilo mounts to a ground spike or concrete base depending on the installation surface. The assembly instruction PDF (see Downloads tab) details the wiring and mounting method. Mains wiring must be run underground in conduit and connected by a qualified electrician.

Can it be used in coastal locations?

The IP65 rating protects against rain, snow and dust, and the powder-coated aluminium resists corrosion better than mild steel. However, in direct coastal exposure with salt spray, periodic rinsing and inspection will extend the finish life.
