Description

The Vesa is a 38cm clear glass pendant light with three E14 candelabra-style bulb holders arranged inside a bell-shaped glass shade, suspended from an antique brass chain and canopy. The glass shade is mouth-blown with a slight taper towards the neck, wide enough at 38cm diameter to enclose the three brass arms without crowding, and the antique brass finish on the metalwork shows deliberately aged patina rather than high polish.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher, the Vesa provides ambient downlight through the clear glass while the exposed candelabra arms give it a decorative presence even when unlit. The 50cm drop from chain to base of shade is fixed, so the pendant sits approximately 600-700mm above a dining table surface in a typical 2.4-2.6m ceiling room. The clear glass maintains visual transparency, so the fitting does not block sightlines across open-plan spaces.

What bulbs does it take?

The Vesa takes three E14 (small Edison screw) bulbs up to 40W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs or decorative filament-style bulbs to match the heritage aesthetic of the antique brass and clear glass.

Is the drop height adjustable?

The 50cm height refers to the fixed drop from the top of the canopy to the base of the glass shade. The chain length can be shortened during installation if a shorter drop is needed, but the glass shade itself is a fixed 50cm tall.

What ceiling height is needed?

For use above a dining table or kitchen island, the pendant typically sits 600-700mm above the surface. This works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. Lower ceilings can accommodate the Vesa if the chain is shortened during fitting.

How is the antique brass finish maintained?

Antique brass develops natural patina over time and does not require polishing. Wipe the metalwork with a dry microfibre cloth. Avoid chemical cleaners or abrasive polishes, which can remove the aged finish and turn the brass bright again.
