Description

The Theodore is an 81cm-wide occasional armchair upholstered in a forest green textured woven fabric with interwoven dark grey threads, giving depth and tonal variation to the surface. The backrest features deep diamond buttoning, the seat edges are piped, and a supportive cushion sits on the seat deck. The frame is solid wood finished in a deep brown stain, with tapered legs set slightly back from the armrests.

Designed for living rooms, bedrooms and reading corners where a compact occasional chair is needed, the Theodore provides a single-seat accent without filling a room. The 86cm seat depth and buttoned backrest give support for reading or conversation seating rather than extended lounging. The armrests sit at a comfortable height for getting in and out without assistance, making the chair suitable for a range of users.

The woven fabric is polyester, which holds its colour and resists pilling better than natural fibres while remaining soft to touch. The forest green tone pairs with both warm wood interiors and cooler grey or blue schemes, and the interwoven grey threads prevent the green from appearing flat under artificial light. The chair arrives flat-packed and requires basic self-assembly — attaching the legs to the upholstered body. At 23kg assembled weight, the Theodore stays put on most flooring without needing to be anchored.

What assembly is required?

The Theodore arrives with the upholstered body and seat cushion assembled. You attach the four wooden legs to the underside of the chair using the supplied fixings. Basic tools are included. Assembly takes approximately 15-20 minutes.

How is the fabric cleaned?

The polyester woven fabric can be vacuumed regularly with an upholstery attachment. For spot cleaning, use a barely-damp cloth with mild soap and water, blotting rather than rubbing. Avoid soaking the fabric or using household spray cleaners, which can leave residue in the weave.

Is the seat cushion removable?

The seat cushion sits loose on the seat deck and can be lifted off, but it is not designed to be removed regularly. The cushion cover is not removable or washable separately.
