Description
The Streamlight is a 38cm table lamp built around a gold-finished metal fountain frame that arches outward from a 20cm circular base, supporting cascading strands of faceted Strass crystal droplets. A single BC (bayonet cap) bulb fitting sits within the crystal cascade, with the light source visible through the faceted glass when lit. Each crystal strand terminates in a larger ball-cut crystal, creating graduated layers of refraction.
Designed for console tables, sideboards, dresser tops and formal bedside positions, the lamp functions as both task light and decorative accent. The 60W maximum rating allows flexibility between warm filament bulbs for ambient glow or brighter LED equivalents where reading light is needed. The gold frame provides colour contrast against the clear crystal, while the 2.5kg weight gives stable placement on polished or lacquered surfaces without needing additional fixing.
The arched frame holds twelve individual crystal strands radiating from a central spine, each strand wire-threaded with smaller faceted crystals before terminating in the 30-40mm ball-cut pieces visible in the lower tier. When lit, the bulb casts light through and around the crystals, producing prismatic scatter across adjacent surfaces. The gold finish is a warm metallic tone that sits between polished brass and antique brass, pairing with traditional interiors and warmer-toned contemporary schemes where ornate detail is wanted without full chandelier scale.
The compact 20cm footprint suits narrower console tables and bedside cabinets where a larger lamp base would overhang the edge. The 38cm height positions the crystal cascade at eye level when seated, making the refraction effect visible from armchairs and dining positions. The lamp works in pairs for symmetrical sideboard or mantel arrangements, or as a single accent where height and texture are needed on a layered surface.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does it take?
The lamp uses a BC (B22 bayonet cap) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED filament bulb between 4-8W and 2700K for decorative ambient light, or a higher-output LED where reading light is needed.
Are the crystals real lead crystal or acrylic?
Impex Streamlight lamps use Strass crystal, which is precision-cut leaded glass with higher refractive index than standard glass or acrylic. The facets are sharper and the prismatic scatter is more pronounced than acrylic alternatives.
How is the crystal cleaned?
Switch off and allow the bulb to cool fully. Remove individual crystal strands by unhooking them from the wire loops on the frame, wash gently in warm water with a drop of washing-up liquid, rinse and dry with a lint-free cloth. Re-hook the strands once completely dry.
Can it be used on a bedside table?
Yes. The 20cm base diameter fits most standard bedside cabinets, and the 38cm height positions the light source at a comfortable level for reading when propped against pillows. The crystals may produce glare if the bulb is very bright, so a lower-wattage warm LED is recommended for bedside use.
