Description

The Sphere is a 20cm globe pendant light with a satin brass metal dome covering the upper hemisphere and a textured polycarbonate lower hemisphere that acts as the diffuser. An integrated 9.6W LED sits inside the globe, producing 672 lumens at 3000K warm white through the textured polycarbonate base. The pendant suspends on a cable with adjustable drop from 35cm to 150cm, allowing it to be set at different heights depending on the ceiling and the surface below.

Designed for installation above dining tables, kitchen islands, bedside positions and reading corners, the Sphere works as a single pendant or in groups of two or three across a longer surface. The adjustable cable allows the pendant to be positioned 600-800mm above a dining table or worktop, or closer to 300-400mm above a side table or bedside position depending on the room layout. The 20cm diameter gives enough visual presence without dominating smaller rooms.

The satin brass finish provides a warm metallic tone that pairs with oak, walnut and other warm-toned timbers, deep green and terracotta interiors, and both traditional and mid-century furnishings. The textured polycarbonate diffuser softens the LED point source and distributes the 672 lumens evenly beneath the pendant without harsh shadows or glare. At 1.08kg the fitting has a solid presence on the cable without needing additional support hardware.

The integrated LED is rated at 9.6W on 180-240V mains. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific dimmer model — please contact us before pairing with a dimmer to confirm.

What drop height is recommended above a dining table?

The cable is adjustable from 35cm to 150cm total drop. For a dining table the pendant typically sits 600-800mm above the table surface, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. The cable can be shortened during installation for lower ceilings.

Can multiple Sphere pendants be grouped together?

Yes. Two or three Sphere pendants work well spaced evenly along a kitchen island or dining table. Space them 600-900mm apart centre-to-centre depending on the length of the surface and the ceiling height.

What does the textured polycarbonate do?

The textured polycarbonate lower hemisphere diffuses the LED point source and distributes the 672 lumens evenly beneath the pendant, softening the light and reducing glare compared to a clear globe.
