Description
The Sphere is a 12cm LED pendant light consisting of a satin brass hemispherical cap suspended above a textured polycarbonate globe. An integrated 4.8W LED inside the globe delivers 336 lumens at 3000K warm white, diffused through the textured inner surface of the polycarbonate to soften the light spread. The drop is adjustable between 25cm and 150cm on installation.
Designed for hallways, bedside positions, bathroom zones where IP20 is acceptable, and clustered arrangements over kitchen islands or dining tables, the Sphere works as both a standalone accent and in multiples. The 12cm globe diameter and 0.72kg weight keep the pendant visually light, making it suitable for lower ceiling heights from 2.3m upwards. When used in clusters, spacing the pendants 40-60cm apart creates an effective row of task or ambient light without visual clutter.
The satin brass finish on the cap and canopy provides a soft metallic accent that pairs with both contemporary and classical interiors, while the textured polycarbonate globe creates a frosted, grainy light quality rather than a harsh point source. The polycarbonate construction makes the globe more impact-resistant than glass equivalents, useful in high-traffic areas or near doorways. The Class 1 electrical rating requires an earth connection during installation.

Frequently Asked
Is the LED replaceable?
No. The 4.8W LED is integrated into the pendant housing. The LED is rated for approximately 25,000 hours of use, which equates to roughly 11 years at 6 hours per day. When the LED reaches end of life, the entire pendant unit would need replacing.
Can multiple Sphere pendants be installed in a row?
Yes. The compact 12cm size and adjustable drop make the Sphere well-suited to clustered installations over kitchen islands or dining tables. Spacing individual pendants 40-60cm apart typically provides good light coverage without overcrowding the visual field.
What ceiling height is needed?
The minimum drop of 25cm and the 12cm globe height mean the bottom of the pendant sits 37cm below the ceiling rose when set to minimum drop. This works in rooms with ceiling heights from 2.3m upwards. At maximum drop of 150cm, the pendant suits double-height spaces or stairwells.
Is the brass finish lacquered?
Satin brass finishes are typically lacquered to prevent tarnishing. The surface can be wiped with a dry or slightly damp microfibre cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or metal polishes, which may damage the lacquer and cause the brass to oxidise unevenly over time.
