Sorelle 6 Light Pendant Light - White

The Sorelle is a 6-light pendant built around a 54cm diameter hemispherical shade assembled from overlapping white panels that create a textured, segmented surface. Each panel sits slightly proud of the next, forming vertical ridges across the dome and allowing narrow gaps for light to escape around the edges. Six ES (E27) bulb sockets sit inside the dome, with the light diffusing through the white material and escaping through the panel gaps to create a pattern of soft vertical stripes on the underside when lit.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and entrance halls, the Sorelle works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher where the 35cm shade height can hang without overwhelming the space. The wire suspension rises from the top of the dome to a white ceiling canopy, giving the fitting a lighter visual weight than chain or rod-hung pendants of the same diameter. The 54cm diameter suits tables from 1.2m to 1.8m in length or kitchen islands up to 2m long.

The white finish pairs with both warm and cool neutral interiors, and the segmented dome construction means the shade casts distinct shadow patterns onto walls and ceilings when the bulbs are on. The 4.35kg weight requires secure ceiling fixing into a joist or suitable mounting, and the fitting accepts standard ES LED, halogen or filament bulbs (sold separately) up to a combined 24W load, which equates to six 4W LED bulbs or six low-wattage decorative filament bulbs.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 35cm shade height plus suspension cable means this pendant suits rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. Over a dining table the shade typically sits 700-900mm above the surface, which requires approximately 2.6m minimum ceiling height for comfortable head clearance when standing.

Is the shade adjustable?

The wire suspension can be adjusted during installation to set the final drop length. Once installed, the height is fixed unless the electrician re-adjusts the cable routing inside the ceiling canopy.

How is the shade cleaned?

The white panels can be wiped with a dry microfibre cloth or a lightly damp cloth for marks. Avoid soaking the material or using chemical sprays, as this may discolour the white finish or affect the panel joints.
