Description

The Solara is a 41cm crystal table lamp built around a cylindrical diffuser composed of stacked faceted crystal blocks, mounted on a slender polished chrome stem with a circular chrome base. The lamp takes a single E27 bulb up to 40W (sold separately), with light refracting through the crystal to cast patterns onto surrounding surfaces.

Designed for bedside tables, console tables and side surfaces where a compact footprint is needed, the 15cm diameter base suits narrow furniture widths. The 41cm overall height positions the crystal shade at eye level when seated, making it suitable for reading positions next to an armchair or at the bedside. The vertical crystal-block construction gives directional sparkle that changes appearance depending on viewing angle and ambient light conditions.

The polished chrome base and stem provide a reflective metallic foundation that pairs with both cool-toned and warm-toned interiors. Each crystal block is individually faceted, so the diffuser catches and refracts direct light differently than a smooth glass shade would. At 1.8kg the lamp has enough weight to remain stable on bedside tables and narrow console surfaces without needing additional anchoring.

The lamp takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 40W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K for bedside use.

Is it suitable for narrow bedside tables?

Yes. The 15cm diameter base fits bedside tables and console tables as narrow as 25-30cm width. The 1.8kg weight provides stability without needing a wide surface area.

How is the crystal diffuser cleaned?

Wipe the crystal blocks with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. For fingerprints or smudges, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water works well. Avoid spraying glass cleaner directly onto the crystal — it may run down into the lamp mechanism.

Does it provide enough light for reading?

Light output depends on the bulb chosen. A 6-8W LED bulb in warm white provides adequate task light for bedside reading when the lamp is positioned within arm's reach. The faceted crystal diffuses light rather than directing it, so it works best as ambient light with a separate reading lamp if strong directed light is needed.
