Description

The Skyline is a 40cm table lamp built around a spherical terracotta base with a grey crackle glaze and a tapered cream linen shade. The crackle finish forms a network of fine surface fractures across the grey glaze, showing darker grey lines where the glaze has contracted during firing. The base sits on a flat circular foot, and the shade mounts via a polished chrome fitting at the neck.

Designed for bedside tables, console tables and side tables in living rooms, hallways and bedrooms, the 30cm base diameter and 40cm overall height suit compact surfaces without overwhelming them. The lamp takes a standard E27 bulb (sold separately) up to 60W, providing enough output for bedside reading when paired with a warm-white LED in the 6-10W range. The cream shade softens and diffuses the light, reducing glare on nearby surfaces.

The terracotta base weighs 3.3kg, giving stability on most table surfaces without needing to be clamped or weighted. The grey crackle glaze varies slightly between pieces depending on kiln temperature and cooling rate during manufacture, so no two bases show identical crackle patterns.
