Description
The Knightsbridge FP0160PB is a screened diplex outlet combining one coaxial TV connection (male) and one FM/DAB radio connection (female) behind a polished brass flat plate. The screening reduces signal interference between the two outputs, maintaining clean TV reception and radio signal quality when both are in use on the same wall outlet.
Designed for residential AV installations, period properties and hospitality settings where TV and radio aerials terminate at the same location, the outlet fits a standard 35mm minimum back box depth. The ultra-low 2.5mm projection from the wall makes it suitable for narrow hallways, bedroom alcoves and any space where a proud wall plate would interfere with furniture placement. The flat plate uses a built-in gasket to seal against the wall, preventing dust and debris entering the back box.
The 201 stainless steel construction is finished in polished brass, providing a warm metallic accent that pairs with traditional brass door furniture, light switches and period-style interiors. The polished finish develops a natural patina over time, deepening the brass tone. The earth terminal is standard, and the clamp-and-screw terminal accepts solid and stranded coaxial cable cores. The outlet is certified to BS 5733 and carries Knightsbridge's 25-year guarantee.

Frequently Asked
What back box depth is required?
A 35mm minimum back box depth is needed. The outlet itself has a 38.4mm total depth, with 28.2mm recessing into the wall and just 2.5mm projecting from the finished wall surface.
Which connection is male and which is female?
The TV outlet uses a male coaxial connector. The FM/DAB outlet uses a female coaxial connector. Standard coaxial cables with the corresponding gender connectors are required for each.
What does 'screened' mean?
Screening refers to internal shielding that prevents signal interference between the TV and FM/DAB outputs. This maintains cleaner reception quality on both services when both are connected and in use simultaneously.
Is the polished brass lacquered?
Knightsbridge polished brass finishes are typically unlacquered, allowing the brass to develop a natural patina over time. If you require the bright polished finish to remain consistent, periodic polishing with a brass cleaning cloth is needed.
