Description

The Knightsbridge FP0150PB is a non-isolated F-type SAT TV outlet in a polished brass flat plate, designed for domestic satellite installations requiring bi-directional signal flow between the dish and receiver. The F-type coaxial connection provides secure threaded coupling for satellite cables, and the non-isolated design allows signal to pass in both directions without filtering or splitting.

Suitable for living rooms, bedrooms and home cinema installations where a satellite connection is needed without separate earth isolation between the outlet and the dish. The flat plate design sits flush against the wall with a 10.2mm projection from the finished surface, making it less obtrusive than standard-depth outlets. The 87.5mm square faceplate fits standard UK single-gang back boxes with a minimum 25mm depth and uses visible screw fixings in polished brass to match the plate finish.

The faceplate is stamped from 201 stainless steel and finished in polished brass, giving a warm metallic tone that suits traditional, period and warm contemporary interiors. The built-in gasket behind the plate provides a seal against the wall surface to reduce dust ingress behind the faceplate. The outlet is certified to BS 5733 and carries an earth terminal for cable screen connection, ensuring safe grounding of the coaxial cable shield.

Non-isolated means there is no electrical separation between the outlet and the dish. Signal can flow bi-directionally without filtering or splitting, which is required for certain satellite systems that send control signals back to the dish. Isolated outlets block this return path.

What back box depth is required?

A minimum 25mm back box depth is needed. The flat plate design sits with 16.8mm recessed into the box and 10.2mm projecting from the wall once fitted.

Is the polished brass lacquered or will it tarnish?

Knightsbridge polished brass finishes are typically lacquered to prevent tarnishing under normal indoor use. Over time in high-humidity environments the lacquer may wear, but the brass can be re-polished if needed.
