Description

The Queenlight is a 2 light crystal wall light built around two curved glass arms extending from a polished gold backplate, each holding an SES candle bulb fitting surrounded by cut-glass bobeches and Czech crystal droplets. The arms rise in a symmetrical curve from the central 280mm-wide backplate, giving the fitting the proportions of a small chandelier condensed onto a wall mount.

Designed for hallways, dining room side walls, and traditional sitting rooms where wall lighting adds layered illumination without taking up floor or table space, the Queenlight pairs well with overhead chandeliers in the same finish. The 200mm projection from the wall positions the crystal droplets clear of the backplate, allowing light from the candle bulbs to refract through the faceted glass. The gold finish works in interiors with warm wood tones, classical mouldings, and traditional colour palettes.

The Czech crystal droplets are facet-cut glass rather than acrylic, so they refract light with the clarity and weight of mineral glass. Each bobeche sits directly below the bulb holder, acting as a drip tray in the visual language of historical candle sconces while also catching and refracting light downwards. At 1.05kg the fitting requires secure wall fixings into masonry or a stud position rather than plasterboard alone.

The fitting takes two SES (Small Edison Screw, E14 base) candle bulbs up to 60W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K for a soft traditional glow.

Can it be fitted to plasterboard walls?

At 1.05kg the Queenlight requires secure wall fixings. On plasterboard walls, fixings should locate a timber stud or use heavy-duty plasterboard anchors rated for at least 5kg per fixing point. On masonry or brick walls, standard wall plugs and screws are sufficient.

Is the crystal glass or plastic?

The droplets and bobeches are facet-cut Czech glass, not acrylic or plastic. This gives them the clarity, weight and light-refracting quality of mineral glass.

What height should it be mounted?

In hallways and dining rooms, wall lights are typically centred between 1.5m and 1.8m from the floor, depending on ceiling height and whether the wall light sits above furniture or picture rails. The 230mm height of the fitting means the top arm sits approximately 115mm above the mounting point.
