The Knightsbridge quad USB charger outlet provides four USB-A charging ports behind a polished chrome screwless faceplate with a black insert. The four ports share a total 5V DC 5.1A output, with one dedicated 2.1A port for tablets and three ports sharing the remaining 3A. The outlet takes mains power from a standard UK back box and converts it internally to 5V DC USB power.

Designed for family kitchens, hallways, hotel rooms, student accommodation and office hot-desking areas where multiple users need to charge phones and tablets simultaneously, the quad outlet eliminates the need for plug-in USB adapters or multi-port hubs. The screwless cover plate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame, leaving no visible screws or fixings on the wall once installed. A built-in gasket behind the faceplate provides a flush seal against the wall.

The polished chrome finish is actual 201 stainless steel, polished to a high-gloss mirror finish that complements chrome taps, cabinet handles and appliance finishes in kitchens and bathrooms. The black insert behind the chrome faceplate hides the back of the cover plate and creates a defined border around each USB port. The 25mm minimum back box depth requirement matches standard UK wiring accessories, allowing the USB outlet to retrofit into existing back boxes or install alongside standard sockets in new builds.

What is the total charging output?

The quad outlet provides 5V DC at a total of 5.1A shared across all four ports. One port is dedicated at 2.1A for tablets or devices requiring higher current, while the remaining three ports share 3A. The total output cannot exceed 5.1A across all connected devices simultaneously.

Can it charge four tablets at once?

Only one port is rated at 2.1A for tablet charging. The other three ports share 3A, which is enough for phones but may not provide full-speed charging for multiple tablets at once. The outlet is best suited to charging a mix of phones and one tablet.

What back box depth is required?

A 25mm minimum back box depth is needed, though wiring conditions may require 35mm for safe cable management. The screwless cover plate adds 4.3mm of projection from the wall once fitted.

Is the screwless plate removable for redecorating?

Yes. The polished chrome cover plate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame fixed to the back box. The cover can be removed for painting around the outlet and re-clipped without disconnecting any wiring.
