Description
The Knightsbridge quad USB charger outlet provides four USB-A charging ports in a single-gang square-edge plate, delivering 5V DC output with a shared total of 5.1A across all ports. One port is dedicated to 2.1A output for tablets, while the remaining three ports share a 3A supply for smartphones, e-readers and smaller devices. The brushed chrome 430 stainless steel faceplate carries a white insert behind the USB apertures.
Designed for kitchens, home offices, hotel rooms, reception areas and commercial environments where multiple devices need simultaneous charging without occupying mains sockets, the charger fits a standard single-gang 25mm minimum mounting box. The square-edge plate includes a built-in gasket to seal the perimeter against the wall surface once fitted. Screw terminals on the rear accept standard UK wiring, converting 230V 50Hz mains supply to the low-voltage 5V DC USB output.
The brushed chrome finish provides a cooler metallic tone than brass finishes and pairs well with contemporary, Scandinavian and monochrome interiors. The white insert behind the faceplate gives a clean contrast around each USB port aperture. The unit is certified to BS EN 60670 and EN 60950-1, with EMC certification and ErP compliance. All four ports use standard USB-A connections, requiring appropriate USB cables (not supplied) for device charging.

Frequently Asked
What back box depth is required?
A 25mm minimum mounting box depth is needed for safe installation. The faceplate projects 10.5mm from the wall once fitted, with 18.2mm recessed behind the mounting surface.
How is the 5.1A total output distributed?
One port delivers a dedicated 2.1A for tablets or high-draw devices. The remaining three ports share a 3A supply between them, suitable for smartphones, wireless earbuds and e-readers charging simultaneously.
Can all four ports charge devices at the same time?
Yes. The total available output is 5.1A shared across all four ports, so all can operate simultaneously provided the combined draw does not exceed that limit.
What's the difference between square edge and other Knightsbridge styles?
Square edge plates have sharper corners and a flatter profile compared to curved-edge or screwless ranges. The square edge design includes a built-in gasket around the perimeter and uses visible screws to fix the faceplate to the mounting box.
