Description

The PowerMaster 6ft single batten houses a 40W integrated LED delivering 4800 lumens of 4000K cool white light through an opal polycarbonate diffuser. The steel housing is finished in white and the hinged bracket uses a screwless clip system, allowing the diffuser to be opened for maintenance or lamp access without tools. Quick-fit push terminals on the internal wiring block reduce installation time compared to screw-terminal fittings.

Designed for offices, workshops, retail back-of-house areas, corridors and storage rooms where task lighting or general illumination is needed, the batten provides 130 lumens per watt across a 120-degree beam angle. The 1800mm length suits rooms with standard 2.4-2.7m ceiling heights and can be surface-mounted or suspended on chains depending on the application. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor environments only — this batten is not suitable for bathrooms, outdoor canopies or unheated garages.

The opal diffuser spreads light evenly without visible hotspots or striping, and the flicker-free driver reduces eye strain in environments where the fitting runs for extended periods. The IK06 impact rating indicates moderate impact resistance suitable for commercial environments but not heavy industrial settings. Is this batten dimmable?

No. The integrated LED driver is non-dimmable and operates on 230V mains only. Connecting it to a dimmer circuit will cause flickering or damage to the driver.

Can it be used in bathrooms or outdoor covered areas?

No. The IP20 rating means the fitting is only suitable for dry indoor environments with no moisture exposure. For bathrooms you need IP44 or higher; for outdoor canopies or garages you need IP65.

How is the diffuser opened for cleaning?

The hinged bracket uses a screwless clip system. Press the release clips on either end of the diffuser to open the cover without needing a screwdriver. This allows access to the diffuser surface and internal LED module for cleaning or maintenance.

What mounting options are available?

The batten can be surface-mounted directly to a ceiling or joist using the fixing points on the steel housing, or suspended on chains if ceiling height or positioning requires it. The quick-fit push terminals accept standard mains cable without needing terminal screws.
