Description
The PowerMaster 5ft twin batten is a linear LED ceiling fitting housing two parallel LED strips behind an opal polycarbonate diffuser, delivering 7,200 lumens from 60W at 4000K cool white. The steel housing measures 1500mm long with a screwless hinged bracket that allows the diffuser to swing open for lamp access and cleaning without removing fixings from the ceiling.
Designed for commercial and light industrial spaces including offices, workshops, retail stockrooms, garages and utility areas, the twin-lamp configuration provides higher lumen output than single battens while maintaining a slim 80mm width profile. The quick-fit push terminals accept solid or stranded cable without screw terminals, reducing installation time on multi-fitting runs. The 120° beam angle provides wide, even coverage across work surfaces and floors.
The white steel casing carries an IP20 rating for dry indoor use and an IK06 impact rating, providing basic resistance to knocks but not suitable for areas where the fitting may be struck by moving equipment. The opal diffuser spreads the light from the twin LED strips evenly, preventing the striped effect visible in some twin-lamp battens and reducing direct glare when viewed from below. At 130 lumens per watt, the fitting provides efficient output for spaces needing bright, neutral task lighting without the warm tone of domestic LEDs.

Frequently Asked
What does the screwless hinged bracket mean for installation?
The diffuser and LED module hinge open from the mounting bracket, allowing access to the LEDs and wiring terminals without removing the entire fitting from the ceiling. Once the bracket is screwed to the ceiling, the cover clips shut without visible fixings on the front face.
Is 4000K suitable for offices?
Yes. 4000K is widely used in commercial offices, retail and workshop environments where neutral, clear task lighting is needed. It sits between the warmer 3000K used in homes and the colder 5000K-6500K used in clinical or high-precision industrial settings.
Can this be surface-mounted and suspended?
This model is designed for surface mounting to ceilings or walls. The bracket fixes directly to the surface with two screws at each end. It does not include suspension chains or cables for pendant mounting.
What's the difference between single and twin battens?
Twin battens house two parallel LED strips, doubling the lumen output in the same length compared to a single-strip batten. This PowerMaster 5ft twin produces 7,200lm from 60W, where a comparable 5ft single batten would typically deliver 3,600-4,000lm from 30-36W.
