Description

The PowerMaster 5ft LED batten delivers 30W at 130 lumens per watt through an integrated LED strip concealed behind an opal polycarbonate diffuser. A three-position switch on the unit allows the colour temperature to be set at 3000K warm white, 4000K neutral white or 6500K daylight depending on the application. The white powder-coated steel housing measures 1500mm in length and weighs 1.6kg once fitted.

Designed for ceiling or wall mounting in garages, storage rooms, retail back-of-house areas, workshops and basements, the batten uses a screwless hinged bracket system that allows the housing to be tilted down for cable access without removing fixings. Push-fit terminals speed up installation where multiple units are being wired in sequence. The 120-degree beam angle distributes light across the width of typical single-garage or corridor runs without needing overlapping fixtures.

The IP20 rating restricts the fitting to dry indoor environments only, and the IK06 impact resistance provides protection against light knocks during installation or when storage items are moved nearby. The flicker-free driver runs on 230V mains and draws 30W continuously when switched on. The opal diffuser softens the LED strip behind it, reducing glare and spreading the output evenly along the 1500mm length.

How is the colour temperature changed?

A three-position switch on the batten housing allows the colour temperature to be set at 3000K, 4000K or 6500K. The switch must be accessed before final installation — it cannot be adjusted once the unit is fixed and powered.

What's the lumen output at each colour temperature?

The batten delivers 130 lumens per watt at 30W, giving approximately 3900 lumens total output. Lumen output varies slightly between the three colour temperature settings — consult the manufacturer datasheet for precise figures at each kelvin level.

Can it be used in a garage or outdoor shed?

The IP20 rating allows indoor dry locations only. Garages attached to the house with no direct weather exposure are acceptable. Outbuildings, sheds or garages with moisture ingress require an IP65-rated batten instead.

Is the batten dimmable?

No. The integrated LED driver is not compatible with dimmer switches. The batten operates at full 30W output when switched on.
