Description

This PowerMaster pack contains three fixed recessed downlights with brushed chrome bezels and aluminium alloy housings, each fitted with a GU10 lamp holder. The 86mm diameter bezels sit flush with the ceiling once installed, and pre-fitted spring clips hold each fitting securely in a 76mm ceiling void.

Designed for kitchens, hallways, bathrooms (Zone 3 only) and living spaces where clean ceiling lines are preferred over surface-mounted fittings, the downlights accept any standard GU10 bulb up to 50W (bulbs sold separately). The IP20 rating limits use to dry internal areas only. The fixed bezel means light direction cannot be adjusted after installation, making these best suited to general ambient lighting rather than accent or task lighting.

The brushed chrome finish on each bezel provides a subtle metallic accent that pairs with modern chrome taps, handles and appliances without the high shine of polished chrome. The aluminium construction keeps weight low at 0.46kg for the pack of three, and the spring clip mounting means no visible screws on the ceiling surface once fitted. Each downlight requires a 76mm minimum ceiling void depth to accommodate the housing and lamp holder behind the plasterboard.

Are bulbs included?

No. The downlights are supplied with GU10 lamp holders only. GU10 bulbs are sold separately and can be LED, halogen or low-energy depending on your preference for light output and running cost.

What ceiling void depth is required?

A minimum 76mm void depth is needed to accommodate the housing and lamp holder behind the plasterboard. Measure the gap between the ceiling surface and the floor joists or concrete above before cutting the hole.

Can these be used in bathrooms?

Yes, but only in Zone 3 (areas more than 2.4m from a bath or shower, or outside the zones entirely). The IP20 rating means they are not protected against water ingress and cannot be installed in Zones 0, 1 or 2.

Are they dimmable?

The fittings themselves have no electronics that would prevent dimming, but dimmer compatibility depends entirely on the GU10 bulb you fit. Check the bulb packaging for dimmer compatibility before pairing with a dimmer switch.
