Description
The PowerMaster 2ft LED batten is a 600mm slimline ceiling or wall-mounted fitting with an integrated 18W LED delivering 1620 lumens at 4000K cool white. The opal polycarbonate diffuser spreads light across a 120° beam angle, providing even illumination without visible LEDs or hotspots. The fitting carries an IP20 rating for indoor dry environments.
Designed for workshops, garages, offices, utility rooms and commercial back-of-house areas where functional task lighting is needed without decorative styling. The slimline profile (approximately 50mm deep) sits close to the ceiling or wall, making it suitable for rooms with limited headroom or where surface-mounted fittings need to be unobtrusive. The pre-fitted mains cable allows direct connection to a ceiling rose or junction box without needing additional flex or cable runs.
The 4000K colour temperature produces a neutral cool white that suits task-oriented environments where colour accuracy matters but the warmer tones of 3000K would feel too domestic. The CRI of 80 ensures adequate colour rendering for general commercial use. The fitting weighs 270g and can be mounted on plasterboard ceilings with appropriate fixings or screwed directly to timber joists or masonry.
The integrated LED has a rated life of 30,000 hours at typical usage patterns, meaning approximately 10 years of operation at 8 hours per day before noticeable depreciation. The batten is non-dimmable and requires a standard 230V mains supply.

Frequently Asked
Is the LED replaceable?
No. The LED is integrated into the fitting and cannot be replaced separately. When the LED reaches end-of-life the entire batten needs replacing. The rated 30,000-hour lifespan translates to approximately 10 years at 8 hours per day.
Can it be used in bathrooms?
The IP20 rating means it is only suitable for dry indoor environments. It can be used in Zone 3 bathrooms (areas more than 600mm from a water source), but not in Zones 0, 1 or 2 where moisture or direct water contact is present.
What ceiling fixing is needed?
The batten weighs 270g, so can be mounted on plasterboard ceilings using spring toggle fixings or plasterboard anchors rated for 2-3kg. On timber joists or masonry it can be screwed directly using the pre-drilled mounting holes.
What's the difference between 4000K and 3000K?
4000K produces a neutral cool white light that feels clinical and task-focused, commonly used in offices, workshops and commercial spaces. 3000K is a warm white closer to traditional incandescent bulbs, preferred in domestic living areas and hospitality settings.
