Description

The PowerMaster 2ft LED single batten houses an integrated 10W LED delivering 1300 lumens at 4000K cool white, mounted in a white steel housing with an opal polycarbonate diffuser. The screwless hinged bracket allows the batten body to swing open for cable access without removing fixings from the ceiling or wall, and quick-fit push terminals speed up the wiring process during installation.

Designed for general indoor lighting in offices, workshops, retail stockrooms, corridors and utility spaces, the batten provides task-level illumination at 130 lumens per watt efficiency. The 4000K colour temperature delivers neutral white light that sits between warm domestic lighting and the cooler blue-white light found in clinical settings, making it suitable for workspaces where colour accuracy and visibility matter without creating a cold atmosphere.

The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor environments, while the IK06 impact rating provides resistance to minor knocks and impacts from ladders, tools or equipment typical in commercial and light industrial settings. The opal diffuser spreads the LED output evenly along the 600mm length, eliminating visible LED hotspots and reducing direct glare. The flicker-free output maintains consistent light during extended use without the pulsing effect seen in lower-quality LED drivers.

Can this be used in a garage or shed?

Yes, provided the space is dry and dust-free. The IP20 rating means the batten is not protected against moisture or dust ingress, so it cannot be used in damp garages, outdoor canopies or dusty workshops. For those environments, an IP65-rated batten is needed.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The 10W LED is integrated into the batten housing and cannot be replaced separately. When the LED reaches end of life, the entire batten unit is replaced. The typical LED lifespan is 25,000-30,000 hours.

How is the batten mounted?

The screwless hinged bracket fixes to the ceiling or wall with screws through pre-drilled holes in the back plate. Once the bracket is secured, the batten body hinges open for cable connection via the push terminals, then clips closed without needing additional screws.

What's the beam angle?

The opal diffuser provides approximately 120° beam spread, which is typical for LED battens. This gives even light distribution along corridors and workspaces without creating harsh shadows or pooling.
