Description

The PowerMaster 12W recessed LED downlight features a selectable colour temperature switch that allows you to choose between warm white (3000K), neutral white (4000K) or cool white (6000K) before installation. The integrated LED delivers approximately 840 lumens across a 120° beam angle, providing even ceiling illumination in domestic and commercial spaces.

Designed for recessed installation in plasterboard ceilings, the downlight requires a 155mm diameter cut-out and sits 32mm above the ceiling void with a 13mm surface profile below ceiling level. The 170mm white bezel covers the cut-out edge and spring clips secure the fitting into the ceiling without additional fixings. The IP20 rating limits use to dry internal areas (Zone 3 only), making it suitable for living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and offices but not bathrooms or outdoor spaces.

The CCT selector switch is located on the rear of the driver housing and must be set before the downlight is connected to mains power. Once set, the colour temperature remains fixed — it is not a switchable feature accessible after installation. The Class II double-insulated construction eliminates the need for an earth connection, simplifying installation in older properties without earth wiring to ceiling points. The non-dimmable driver operates on 110-240V AC mains.

Can the colour temperature be changed after installation?

No. The CCT selector switch is on the rear of the driver housing and must be set to 3000K, 4000K or 6000K before the downlight is wired to mains power. Once installed and powered, the colour temperature remains fixed.

What ceiling void depth is required?

The downlight requires a minimum 32mm depth above the ceiling surface to accommodate the driver housing and spring clips. Standard UK residential ceilings with 100mm void depth are suitable.

Is this downlight dimmable?

No. The integrated driver is non-dimmable and should not be connected to dimmer switches. Attempting to dim the downlight may cause flicker or damage the driver.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

The IP20 rating limits use to Zone 3 only — areas more than 2.25m from a bath or shower. It cannot be installed directly above baths, in shower enclosures, or within 600mm of a water source.
