Description

The Piros is a 17cm square LED wall light built around a textured glass panel set into a polished chrome frame. An integrated 6W LED behind the glass produces 403 lumens at 3000K, casting warm white light through the irregular surface of the glass, which diffuses the output evenly across a wall while allowing the glass texture itself to remain visible when lit.

Designed for hallways, landing walls, bedside positions and bathrooms (IP20 rated for zones 2 and 3), the Piros provides ambient wash lighting rather than directed task light. The 8cm projection from the wall keeps the fitting compact enough for narrow corridors while the 17cm square face gives enough presence to work as a solo light source in a small bathroom or WC. The chrome frame sits flush with the wall on all four sides, creating a defined border around the glass panel.

The glass face shows hand-finished irregularities from the production process — variations in surface texture, tonal shifts across the panel, and occasional small bubbles or inclusions within the glass itself. These characteristics differ between individual units and are visible when the light is both on and off. The polished chrome finish reflects surrounding colours and light, so the frame adapts visually to the room tone rather than imposing a fixed metallic accent.

The integrated LED is non-replaceable but rated for 25,000+ hours of use, equivalent to roughly 10 years of typical domestic operation. The fitting draws 6W on 230V mains and produces a CRI of >80, meaning most domestic colours render accurately under the light without the washed-out effect of lower-CRI LEDs.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The 6W LED is integrated into the fitting and cannot be replaced. The LED is rated for 25,000+ hours, which equates to approximately 10 years of typical domestic use at 6-8 hours per day.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

The Piros carries an IP20 rating, which means it is suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3 (away from direct water contact). It cannot be installed in zone 0 (inside a shower enclosure) or zone 1 (directly above a bath or shower tray).

Does the glass texture vary between units?

Yes. Each glass panel is hand-finished, so the exact pattern of surface irregularities, tonal variation and internal inclusions differs between individual units. This is a characteristic of the production process, not a defect.

How is the fitting mounted?
