Description

The Petra is a 100cm bar pendant with three hand-blown smoke glass shades suspended from a chrome-plated linear bar. Each shade is formed from irregular faceted glass with a light smoke tint that softens and diffuses the light from the E27 bulb inside. The chrome bar mounts to the ceiling via a matching canopy, with the three shades spaced evenly along the 100cm length.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and breakfast bars, the Petra provides downward task lighting across a 2-2.5m surface. The height is adjustable between 45cm and 150cm on installation, allowing the pendant to be set 70-80cm above a dining table or 80-90cm above a kitchen worktop depending on ceiling height. The fitting comes with three E27 8W LED bulbs included, rated at 2.61lm combined output and 3x20W maximum per socket.

Each smoke glass shade measures approximately 27cm deep and varies slightly in form due to the hand-blown production process, giving each of the three shades a different faceted profile when viewed from below. The chrome finish on the bar and canopy pairs with both warm and cool interior palettes, while the smoke glass adds tonal depth without blocking light output. At 5.97kg, the pendant is substantial enough to feel anchored but still suitable for standard ceiling fixings.

Are the bulbs included?

Yes. The Petra comes with three E27 8W LED bulbs included in the box. These are warm-white LEDs suitable for dining and kitchen use. The E27 sockets accept any standard Edison screw bulb up to 20W per socket if you wish to replace them.

What length table does it suit?

The 100cm bar spans comfortably over a 1.6-2.5m dining table or kitchen island. For longer tables, consider pairing two Petra pendants or choosing a longer bar pendant from the Schuller range.

Can the height be adjusted after installation?

The height is set during installation by adjusting the cable length before fixing the canopy to the ceiling. Once installed, the height is fixed unless the ceiling canopy is removed and the cables re-adjusted.

Is the glass hand-blown?

Yes. Each smoke glass shade is hand-blown, so the faceted profile and exact tonal depth vary slightly between individual shades. This is a characteristic of the production process, not a defect.
