Description
The Palladium is a 100cm wall clock with exposed moving gears visible through a metal skeleton frame finished in black nickel. The mechanism sits behind a glass panel, allowing the gear train to be seen as the clock runs. The dial uses simple black marker lines around the perimeter instead of numerals, giving the face a clean radial pattern that frames the exposed mechanical centre.
Designed for feature walls in living rooms, home offices and hallways where ceiling height and wall width can accommodate the 1m diameter, the clock acts as both a functional timepiece and a kinetic wall sculpture. The black nickel finish over the metal frame reads as a mid-tone grey with darker shadowing in the recessed areas of the gears, pairing comfortably with both warm and cool-toned interiors. The 8cm depth accounts for the mechanism housing behind the dial.
The clock runs on three AA batteries housed in the rear compartment, driving the visible gear mechanism through a quartz movement. The moving gears are decorative rather than functionally necessary for timekeeping — the actual quartz mechanism is separate — but they rotate in sync with the hands to create the appearance of a mechanical movement. At 8.8kg the clock requires secure wall mounting using appropriate fixings for the wall type, with the weight distributed across two or more fixing points.
The Palladium is part of a wider range from Libra Interiors that includes coordinating metal accessories and mirrors in matching finishes, allowing the clock to sit within a curated metallic accent scheme across a room or home.

Frequently Asked
Are the moving cogs part of the actual timekeeping mechanism?
No. The clock uses a battery-powered quartz movement for accurate timekeeping, which is separate from the visible gears. The exposed gears are decorative and driven by the movement to rotate in sync with the hands, creating the appearance of a mechanical clock.
What batteries does it require?
Three AA batteries, housed in a rear compartment. Batteries are not included and must be purchased separately.
What wall fixings are needed for the 8.8kg weight?
The clock requires secure wall mounting appropriate to the wall construction. For plasterboard walls, use heavy-duty plasterboard anchors or locate wall studs. For masonry, use wall plugs and screws rated for at least 10kg distributed across two fixing points. The clock should not be hung on a single nail or hook.
Can it be used outdoors or in bathrooms?
No. The clock is designed for indoor use only in dry environments. The exposed mechanism and metal construction are not protected against moisture, condensation or temperature extremes.
