Description

The Oceans is a 400mm crystal pendant light built around a polished chrome drum frame suspended from three slender cables. Five integrated 5W LEDs are arranged around the inner rim of the drum, casting light through cascading strands of faceted acrylic crystal that hang from the frame perimeter to create a cylindrical curtain of reflective elements. Each strand catches and refracts the LED light, turning the fixture into both a light source and a reflective sculpture.

Designed for compact dining zones, kitchen peninsulas, bedroom seating areas and hallway landings, the 400mm diameter suits spaces where a full-size chandelier would overwhelm the proportions but a simple pendant would lack presence. The 39.5cm drop from canopy to the base of the crystal strands works in rooms with ceiling heights from 2.4m upwards. The polished chrome frame reflects surrounding light during the day and provides a clean metallic accent against white or neutral-toned ceilings.

The integrated LEDs deliver a combined 25W output and are non-replaceable — the fixture is designed with the LED lifespan as the product lifespan. The crystal strands are faceted acrylic rather than glass, reducing weight and making the fixture safer in locations above seating or work surfaces. The polished chrome finish pairs comfortably with contemporary interiors using stainless steel appliances, brushed nickel hardware and cool-toned palettes.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The five integrated 5W LEDs are non-replaceable. The fixture is designed with the LED lifespan as the product lifespan, typically rated for 20,000-30,000 hours of use depending on manufacturer specifications.

What size room does it suit?

The 400mm diameter works well over compact dining tables (up to 1.2m length), kitchen peninsulas, bedroom seating areas and hallway landings. For larger dining tables or open-plan living zones, the larger Oceans model may be more proportionate.

Are the crystal strands glass or acrylic?

The cascading strands are faceted acrylic rather than glass crystal. This reduces the overall weight of the fixture and makes it safer for installation above seating or work surfaces, while still providing the reflective quality of cut crystal.

How is the fixture cleaned?

Dust the chrome frame and crystal strands with a dry microfibre cloth or feather duster. For more thorough cleaning, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water can be used on the chrome, but avoid soaking the acrylic strands or using household sprays that may leave residue on the faceted surfaces.
