Description

The Moryn is a 2 light Georgian-style crystal wall light built on a polished chrome frame with two symmetrical curved arms, each holding a candle-style SES bulb fitting surrounded by a faceted crystal drip pan. Strass crystal drops hang from the arms and central backplate, which measures 29cm wide and projects 17cm from the wall.

Designed for hallways, stairwells, bedroom walls and alcoves where wall space is limited but decorative lighting is needed, the Moryn's compact proportions suit narrow corridors and alcove recesses where larger multi-arm sconces would overwhelm the architecture. The two bulbs (sold separately, max 60W each) provide ambient light filtered through the crystal elements, with the polished chrome reflecting both natural and artificial light during the day.

The Georgian detailing comes from the scrolled arm shape and the faceted crystal cut, which references 18th-century chandelier design adapted to a wall-mounted format. The polished chrome finish gives a cooler metallic tone than traditional brass Georgian fittings, making the Moryn pair comfortably with both period interiors and contemporary spaces that use chrome or nickel hardware elsewhere. What bulb does it take?

The Moryn uses two SES (Small Edison Screw, E14 base) bulbs, each up to 60W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with candle-style LED bulbs in warm white (2700K-3000K) at 4-6W for a period look.

The projection is 17cm from the wall to the furthest point of the crystal drops. This compact projection suits hallways and alcoves where deeper wall lights would intrude into the walking space.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off the power and allow the bulbs to cool. Remove dust with a dry microfibre cloth. For deeper cleaning, dampen the cloth very slightly with distilled water, wipe each crystal drop individually, and dry immediately with a separate dry cloth to avoid water marks.
