Description
The Mill is a 250cm graphite aluminium bollard light with an integrated 30W 3000K LED running the full height of the column. The 9cm-diameter cylindrical post is machined from corrosion-resistant aluminium and finished in a dark graphite powder coat that resists UV fade and salt corrosion in coastal installations.
Designed for driveways, long pathways, commercial car parks and building perimeters, the 250cm height spreads light across a wider horizontal area than standard 90-110cm bollards, reducing the number of units needed to light a given length of path. The IP65 rating protects the LED driver and internal wiring from dust ingress and water jets from any direction, making the bollard suitable for year-round outdoor exposure including coastal, urban and industrial environments.
The LED runs inside a clear polycarbonate diffuser that extends the full length of the column, creating a continuous vertical line of light visible from all angles. This makes the bollard effective both as pathway illumination and as a wayfinding marker in large outdoor spaces. The 30W output and 3000K colour temperature provide functional white light without the blue-heavy cast of cooler LEDs, reducing light pollution in residential settings while maintaining visibility for vehicle and pedestrian traffic.
The bollard mounts onto a concrete foundation or ground anchor via a base plate concealed inside the lower 20cm of the column. The aluminium construction gives the unit a robust feel without excessive weight, and the graphite finish pairs with contemporary architectural palettes including anthracite cladding, concrete, and dark timber.

Frequently Asked
What spacing is recommended between bollards?
At 250cm height, the Mill typically spaces at 8-12m intervals along a pathway depending on the width of the illuminated area and the ambient light levels. Driveways and wider approaches may need closer spacing at 6-8m to maintain even coverage.
Is the LED replaceable?
The LED is integrated and rated for approximately 25,000 hours of operation. At typical outdoor usage (dusk-to-dawn on a photocell) this equates to around 7-10 years. The entire LED module can be serviced by a qualified electrician if needed after this period.
How is it installed?
The bollard mounts via a base plate concealed inside the lower section of the column. Installation requires a concrete foundation or ground anchor set to the depth specified in the manual. Electrical supply is typically run underground in conduit and brought up through the foundation to connect inside the base.
Can it be used in coastal locations?
Yes. The aluminium construction and IP65 rating make the Mill suitable for coastal installations. The graphite powder coat provides additional corrosion resistance, though periodic rinsing with fresh water will extend the finish life in high-salinity environments.
