Description
The Mercury is a 61cm table lamp built from four stacked spheres of champagne-tinted glass, separated by antique brass collars and set on a circular brass base. A pleated beige fabric shade sits at the top, diffusing light from a single E27 bulb (sold separately). The champagne glass has a translucent quality that catches ambient light during the day and glows softly when the lamp is lit.
Designed for side tables, bedside tables and console tables where height creates presence without overwhelming the surface, the Mercury suits traditional, Art Deco and transitional interiors. The 29cm diameter shade casts downward and ambient light suitable for reading or background illumination in living rooms, bedrooms and entrance halls. The 3.93kg weight gives the lamp a solid, stable footprint on most surfaces.
Each glass sphere shows slight tonal variation in the champagne tint depending on the angle of light, giving the lamp a dynamic appearance through the day. The antique brass finish on the metal elements has a warmer, aged tone compared to polished or brushed brass, pairing naturally with warm woods, deep paint colours and classic furniture styles. The pleated shade is held in a clip-on fitting, allowing replacement if the fabric ages.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Mercury take?
The lamp takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 20W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED between 6-10W and 2700K for ambient bedside or living room lighting.
Is the shade replaceable?
Yes. The pleated beige shade uses a clip-on fitting at the top of the lamp. If the fabric ages or you want to change the shade colour, replacement shades with E27 clip fittings are available from most lighting suppliers.
Can the glass spheres be cleaned?
Yes. Wipe the champagne glass spheres with a soft, dry microfibre cloth. For fingerprints or marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water works without leaving streaks. Avoid spraying glass cleaner directly onto the lamp as it may drip into the brass collars.
What's the difference between antique brass and polished brass?
Antique brass has a warmer, aged tone with a low-sheen finish that looks deliberately weathered. Polished brass is brighter, more reflective and reads as more contemporary. The antique finish on the Mercury pairs more naturally with traditional and classical interiors.
