Description
The Maizon is a 35cm optical glass table lamp with a flared, tapered body rising from a flat nickel-finished platform base. The glass column is moulded from clear optical glass with gentle concave facets that catch and refract light, while the nickel base provides a clean geometric anchor with sharp architectural edges. The lamp takes a single BC (B22 bayonet cap) bulb up to 60W, fitted into a nickel-finished lampholder at the top of the glass column.
Designed for bedside tables, console surfaces in hallways, or paired symmetrically on narrow side tables, the Maizon provides ambient task light without requiring much footprint — the 18cm diameter base sits comfortably on surfaces as narrow as 25-30cm. The optical glass diffuses bulb light evenly through the column, creating a soft glow rather than a harsh point source. The lamp works in both contemporary and traditional interiors where glass and metal pairing is already present, such as rooms with mirrored furniture, chrome fixtures or glass-topped tables.
The optical glass is heavier and thicker than standard blown glass, giving the lamp a 2kg total weight that prevents tipping on bedside or hall surfaces. The nickel finish on the base is a brushed satin rather than polished chrome, reducing glare and fingerprint visibility. The flared profile means the lamp is widest at mid-height and tapers both towards the base and towards the lampholder, creating a symmetrical hourglass silhouette when viewed from the side.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Maizon take?
The lamp takes a BC (B22 bayonet cap) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for bedside or console use.
Does the optical glass show the bulb inside?
Yes. The clear optical glass reveals the bulb outline, so decorative filament LED bulbs work well visually. Standard pear-shaped LED bulbs are also acceptable and the glass diffuses the light evenly through the column.
What size surface does it need?
The 18cm diameter base needs a surface at least 25cm wide for safe placement. The lamp suits narrow bedside tables, slim console units, and hallway surfaces where space is limited.
Is the nickel finish polished or brushed?
The nickel is a brushed satin finish rather than polished chrome. This reduces glare under daylight and minimises fingerprint visibility on the base.
