Description

The LYYT flush mount plaster-in profile is a 1m aluminium channel designed to embed LED strip lighting into plasterboard walls and ceilings with no visible protrusion once finished. The profile measures 55.5 x 15mm externally and houses an internal channel of 15.5 x 12.5mm, accepting LED tape between 8-12.5mm wide. A white polycarbonate diffuser clips into the top of the channel and sits 12.5mm wide at the visible face, softening the light output from the strip into an even line.

Designed for new-build and refurbishment projects where flush architectural lighting is required, the profile is installed into a chase cut into the plasterboard or fitted into a gap between boards before plastering. The 3mm lip on each flange provides a bed for plaster to key onto, reducing the risk of cracking along the edge once the plaster sets. Once plastered and sanded flush, only the 12.5mm diffuser strip remains visible at the surface.

The profile is supplied in raw aluminium and can be cut to length on-site with a hacksaw or mitre saw to fit the exact run required. The snap-fit diffuser removes without tools for access to the LED strip during installation or maintenance. The 1m length suits shorter runs, alcoves, shelf undercuts, and stair nosing applications where a full 2m section would require cutting down.
