The Luxa is a 25cm glass globe table lamp with a gold-tinted reflective finish, mounted on a three-leg matt black tripod base. The spherical shade sits in a brass-rimmed collar that connects to the tripod frame, holding a single E27 bulb fitting inside the globe. The gold-tinted glass reflects surrounding light and colour when unlit, then glows warm amber when switched on.

Designed for compact surface placements where a traditional lampshade would be too wide, the Luxa suits console tables, narrow sideboards, bedside tables and shelving units in living rooms, hallways and bedrooms. The 38cm overall height and 25cm footprint allow it to sit behind other objects or in tight alcoves without dominating the arrangement. The tripod base gives the lamp stability on uneven or textured surfaces without needing a weighted plinth.

The reflective gold finish on the glass creates a mirrored surface during daylight, catching ambient light and movement from the room. What bulb does the Luxa take?

The lamp takes a standard E27 Edison screw bulb up to 40W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 4-6W and 2700K to maintain the gold-toned glow without excessive heat inside the glass globe.

Is the gold finish on the inside or outside of the glass?

The gold tint is applied to the glass itself, creating a reflective mirrored surface on the outside. This means the finish will show fingerprints and marks if handled, so it benefits from being wiped with a microfibre cloth before use.

Can the lamp be used for reading?

The Luxa is designed primarily as ambient accent lighting rather than task lighting. The diffused glow through the gold-tinted glass creates atmosphere but does not provide focused directional light for reading. For reading positions, pair it with a separate adjustable task lamp.

How is the glass cleaned?

Wipe the globe gently with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust and fingerprints. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the brass collar or allowing water to run into the bulb fitting. Do not use glass cleaners or sprays that contain ammonia, as these can damage the reflective coating.
