Description
The Luxa is a 25cm copper-tinted glass globe table lamp set on a matt black three-leg tripod base. The glass sphere is hand-blown with an internal swirl pattern that distorts light and reflections, casting a warm amber glow when lit. The E27 lamp holder inside takes a standard LED bulb up to 6W (sold separately), providing soft ambient light rather than direct task illumination.
Designed for bedside tables, narrow console tables, corner shelves and desk edges where surface area is limited, the Luxa measures 25cm diameter and 31cm height with a three-point footprint that keeps the base stable without occupying excessive horizontal space. The copper glass pairs particularly well with warm wood tones, brushed brass hardware and warm-toned textiles in mid-century, retro and contemporary interiors. The matt black tripod contrasts the warmth of the glass, grounding the piece visually.
The hand-blown glass construction means each globe shows slight variation in the swirl pattern and tonal depth, so no two Luxa lamps are identical when lit. The 6W maximum wattage keeps heat output low, which is suitable for surfaces near books, fabrics or electronics. At 1.7kg the lamp has enough weight to resist being knocked over but remains light enough to move between rooms.
The Luxa is part of a wider range from Impex that includes matching pendant and floor lamp designs with the same copper glass and black metalwork, allowing for coordinated lighting schemes across a room without repetition of the same fitting type.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does it take?
The Luxa takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) LED bulb up to 6W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED globe or filament-style bulb between 2W-6W and 2200K-2700K for ambient bedside or desk lighting.
Is the glass fragile?
The glass globe is hand-blown and moderately fragile. It should be handled with care during cleaning and bulb changes. The tripod base provides stability on flat surfaces, but the lamp should be positioned where it will not be knocked by passing traffic or children.
Does the swirl pattern vary between lamps?
Yes. Each globe is hand-blown, so the internal swirl pattern, tonal depth and exact copper hue vary slightly between individual pieces. This is a characteristic of the hand-blown manufacturing process, not a defect.
Can it be used as a reading light?
The Luxa provides ambient light rather than focused task light. The glass diffuses the bulb output in all directions, creating a soft glow suitable for bedside mood lighting but not for direct reading illumination. For reading, pair it with a separate adjustable task lamp or a brighter overhead fitting.
