Description
The Luxa is a 35cm chrome glass pendant light with a single E14 bulb fitting suspended inside a teardrop-shaped dome. The chrome finish on the glass is reflective rather than opaque, so the dome acts as both a diffuser and a mirrored surface, catching and bouncing light from the bulb and surrounding room finishes.
Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands, entrance halls and staircase voids with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Luxa provides ambient rather than task lighting. The 40W maximum bulb rating suits a warm-white LED filament or candle bulb between 4-6W, which shows through the chrome glass as a soft glow rather than a harsh point source. The cable drop is adjustable on installation, allowing the pendant to be set at the appropriate height for the room.
The chrome finish is polished to a high shine, so the dome reflects ceiling details, adjacent walls and furnishings when unlit, and adds movement to the space when lit as the bulb creates shifting highlights across the curved surface. The dome weighs 2.9kg and requires secure fixing to a standard UK ceiling rose. The reflective surface pairs cleanly with contemporary, industrial and minimalist interiors where metal and glass are already present.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does it take?
The Luxa takes a single E14 (small Edison screw) bulb up to 40W. Bulbs are sold separately. A warm-white LED candle or filament bulb between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K works well, showing through the chrome glass as a soft glow without glare.
Is the chrome finish on the outside or inside of the glass?
The chrome finish is applied to the glass itself, creating a reflective surface that acts as both diffuser and mirror. The bulb sits inside the dome, and light passes through the chromed glass in a diffused manner while the exterior remains highly reflective.
What height should it hang at?
For a dining table the pendant typically sits 700-800mm above the surface. For entrance halls and staircase voids, the bottom of the dome should clear head height by at least 200mm. The cable drop is adjustable during installation to suit the specific room.
How is the chrome glass cleaned?
Wipe the chrome surface with a soft, dry microfibre cloth. For fingerprints or smudges, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water works, followed by immediate drying with a clean dry cloth to prevent water spots. Avoid household sprays or chemical cleaners, which can damage the chrome finish.
