Description

The LumiLife 6W recessed LED downlight features a three-position CCT switch allowing selection between 3000K warm white, 4000K cool white, and 6500K daylight colour temperatures without changing the fitting. An integrated LED panel behind the circular white bezel delivers 420 lumens at 70 lumens per watt efficacy across a 120° beam angle, providing even downward illumination from a recessed ceiling position.

Designed for residential and commercial installation in rooms with standard ceiling heights, the downlight suits living rooms, bedrooms, offices and retail spaces where colour temperature preference varies by time of day or function. The CCT switch sits on the external driver unit, accessible during installation — once the ceiling void is closed the selected temperature remains fixed until the fitting is accessed again. The 120° beam spread suits general ambient lighting in rooms up to 15m², with multiple fittings required for larger spaces.

The circular white finish integrates cleanly into plasterboard and suspended ceilings, requiring a cutout diameter of approximately 90mm and a minimum void depth of 60mm to accommodate the driver and rear housing. The fitting operates on 240V AC mains with a power factor above 0.5 and carries an IP20 rating, restricting it to Zone 3 bathroom areas (outside the zones surrounding baths and showers) or dry indoor locations. The CRI above 80 provides adequate colour rendering for most residential and office applications.

How is the colour temperature changed?

A three-position switch on the external driver unit allows selection between 3000K, 4000K, and 6500K. The switch is accessible during installation but requires ceiling void access to change once the fitting is installed and the ceiling closed.

Is this downlight dimmable?

No. The integrated LED driver does not support dimming. Connecting the fitting to a dimmer circuit may cause flickering or damage the driver.

What cutout size is required?

The fitting requires a circular cutout of approximately 90mm diameter in plasterboard or suspended ceiling tiles, with a minimum void depth of 60mm behind the ceiling surface to accommodate the driver and rear housing.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

The IP20 rating restricts the fitting to Zone 3 areas only — at least 2.25m from a bath or shower and outside the defined splash zones. It cannot be installed in Zones 0, 1 or 2 where higher IP ratings are required.
