Description

The LumiLife 18W 4ft LED tri-proof batten is a 1200mm IP65-rated linear fitting with an integrated emergency backup function and microwave motion sensor. The 18W LED module delivers 2300 lumens at 5000K daylight colour temperature, housed in a polycarbonate diffuser and aluminium body that carries an IK08 impact rating for resistance to mechanical damage.

Designed for warehouses, car parks, stairwells, plant rooms, external covered walkways and other commercial or industrial settings where lighting must operate in damp, dusty or corrosive atmospheres, the tri-proof construction seals the fitting against water ingress and dust penetration. The microwave sensor detects movement within its detection zone and switches the batten on automatically, reverting to standby mode after a preset delay. The emergency function maintains light output during mains power failure, drawing from an internal battery pack.

The body measures 1200mm long × 96mm wide × 79mm high and weighs 1.85kg, allowing it to be surface-mounted to ceilings or walls using the integral mounting brackets. The polycarbonate diffuser provides a 120° beam angle, distributing the 2300 lumens across a wide area suitable for general illumination rather than task-specific spotlighting. The fitting operates across an ambient temperature range of -20°C to +40°C, making it suitable for unheated outbuildings, cold stores and external canopies.

The non-dimmable LED is rated to 50,000 hours under typical operating conditions. The IP65 ingress protection allows the batten to be installed in bathroom zones 1, 2 and 3 (not zone 0), and the IK08 impact resistance allows it to be fitted in locations where the fitting may be subject to accidental knocks or vibration from machinery.
