Description

The Lior is a 45cm chrome drum pendant light with six G9 bulb fittings arranged inside a perforated chrome shade, from which a curtain of small crystal droplets hangs in vertical strands. The chrome frame provides structure, while the crystal curtain wraps the lower edge of the drum, refracting light into patterns across the surrounding surfaces when the bulbs are lit.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and central living room positions, the Lior works where both ambient fill light and decorative presence are needed. The 45cm diameter suits tables 1.4-1.8m long, or can be grouped in pairs over larger islands. The six G9 fittings take bulbs up to 28W each (sold separately), allowing you to choose between warm-white LED or halogen depending on the brightness and colour temperature required. The pendant hangs on adjustable cables from a circular chrome ceiling plate.

The chrome finish on the drum and canopy is polished to a mirror-like surface, reflecting ambient light from windows and neighbouring fixtures during the day. The crystal droplets are individually hung on fine wire, creating a curtain rather than a solid shade — light from the G9 bulbs passes through the gaps between crystals and reflects off their faceted surfaces. At 5kg total weight, the pendant requires a ceiling fixing capable of supporting this load plus a safety margin.

What bulbs does the Lior take?

The pendant takes six G9 capsule bulbs, each up to 28W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users choose warm-white LED G9 bulbs between 2.5-4W for ambient lighting, or halogen G9 bulbs if higher brightness is needed.

Is the Lior dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulbs you fit. LED G9 bulbs need to be labelled as dimmable and paired with an LED-compatible dimmer. Halogen G9 bulbs work with standard trailing-edge dimmers.

How is the pendant height adjusted?

The pendant hangs on adjustable cables from the ceiling plate. The cables can be shortened during installation by feeding excess cable back into the ceiling void, allowing the pendant to be set at the height that suits your table or island.

How do you clean the crystal droplets?

Wipe each crystal strand with a dry microfibre cloth. For more thorough cleaning, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water works without leaving water marks. Avoid household sprays or polishes, which can leave residue on the chrome and crystal surfaces.
